Players Finally Take Control of NHLPA

Finally, the grown-ups are in charge. All it took for the National Hockey's League's elite players to take back their own union was - well, the crimes of Alan Eagleson, the zealousness of Bob Goodenow, the spying of Ted Saskin, and finally, the martyrdom of Paul Kelly. That, plus Chris Chelios pushing for players to go to the barricades, and Sidney Crosby finally taking a stand.

That, and more. So yes, it took rather a lot.
