Mangini Should Have No Say in New GM

Then he said something alarming when asked if he will have input on the football authority Browns owner Randy Lerner is seeking.

"Randy and I talk a lot," Mangini said, "So I'm sure we'll be very engaged in that." No. No, no, no, no, no.

Lerner should seek the opinion of football people more knowledgeable than himself in his search for a general manager, such as Ernie Accorsi if Accorsi won't take the job, but Mangini should have no more say in the selection than he does in selecting what you or I have for dinner tonight.
