For Paterno, Wins Trump Age Anyday

It wasn't that long ago that nearly everyone thought Joe Paterno should playing shuffleboard or bingo, or whiling away the hours watching those nice young people on the Weather Channel. Doing anything, in other words, but coaching.

Paterno was too old to coach, too old to recruit and too old to relate to today's young athletes. Because of his obstinacy, he was going to kill a once-great Penn State football program.
