Big Ten Would Love a USC-less Rose Bowl

USC probably isn't going to the Rose Bowl this season.

Maybe that'll dry the Big Ten's tears. It certainly means that the conference is out of Pasadena excuses.

The Big Ten has won only a single Rose Bowl this decade -- Wisconsin outlasted Stanford on Jan. 1, 2000.

It has been nothing more than an annoying speed bump to the Trojans in their past four Rose Bowl meetings. USC isn't just 4-0 in those games; the Trojans outscored their Big Ten opposition by a 2-to-1 margin, 147-73. And they've beaten Ohio State twice in the regular season the past two years.
