Languishing in the throes of his greatest personal disappointment at Texas, Vince Young got a text message from Greg Davis.

You're my Heisman Trophy winner.

To which Young responded:

Game on, coach. Game on.

Four years after Young made good on his word, taking a BCS title as a pretty fair consolation prize, the Longhorns' offensive coordinator sent similar condolences to another quarterback.

And this is how Colt McCoy replied:
