Tom Izzo wants, in his heart of hearts, to be one of the legendary coaches.
He might be maxed out at Michigan State, despite a national championship, a second-place finish and Final Four appearances by the car load. Michigan State, for all of that, is never going to be Kentucky, North Carolina or UCLA. In many ways, it is not even going to be the University of Michigan, which is the flagship school in the state.
