To appreciate how different Tuesday night was for the Spartans, think back to the times at Michigan State when a press conference wasn't called because an important coach was staying.
It was because he, or she, was leaving.
Tuesday's triumph for a Spartans nation tired of bruises and abandonment was that the coach had a different plan.
Tom Izzo finally decided that what he had built, and what he can yet achieve in East Lansing, beats even a sweepstakes ticket to coach LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
