Bol's Legacy Lives in Africa

Shortly after pulling off his inaugural event as director of the NBA's first office in Africa on Saturday -- having a dozen kids from Johannesburg interact with a few pro athletes including NBA star Steve Nash and English Premiership player Anton Ferdinand -- Amadou Gallo Fall, a Senegalese who apprenticed at basketball in the states, got a sobering email. It reminded him of the lineage of which he was a part and the legacy he was to uphold.

It announced the death of Manute Bol. He was 47.
