Ryan's Win Good for Rangers

Mark Cuban losing a big, big bidding war in the wee, small hours of Thursday morning is a thing for local sports fans to celebrate.

But primarily that's because of who won the auction, not who lost it.

It was after deadline, close to 1 a.m. Thursday, when Cuban and Jim Crane finally bowed out of the bidding, putting the Rangers in the hands of the Chuck Greenberg-Nolan Ryan group that thought it had bought the team about eight months ago.

This was a very good night-early morning for the Rangers as they head toward their first postseason since 1999.
