The highest-profile players on the field in Jim Tressel's highly successful decade as Ohio State football coach have taken the biggest tumbles off it.
Maurice Clarett, Troy Smith and Terrelle Pryor, the most visible players in the 10-year Tressel regime, have all been found guilty of taking illegal benefits. That much is indisputable.
Another potentially damaging fall could be in the offing after Yahoo Sports reported Monday that Tressel knew in April of allegations that some of his players, including Pryor, were selling OSU memorabilia at a Columbus tattoo parlor, in return for discount tattoos and other benefits.
