SAN ANTONIO -- Back in the mid-’70s, when Leonard Hamilton was an assistant at Kentucky, he and the Wildcats’ other aspiring Adolph Rupps would often kill time by playing a college basketball version of the game “What If?’’
As in, what if you had your pick of head coaching jobs? Where would want to go?
Several of his peers gave the obvious answer. They wanted a big-time gig at an established power.
