The Dolphins knew one of their highest personnel priorities this season is determining whether Chad Henne is good enough to be the long-term solution at quarterback. Now, for factors beyond their control, that evaluation has been put on hold indefinitely and potentially a considerable amount of time.
An examination of Henne’s injured left (nonthrowing) shoulder revealed a separation, as expected, according to a team source. But the Dolphins, concerned about the results, want a second opinion on the severity and are sending the X-Ray and MRI results to a specialist.
