By the time Fred Couples made his way to the opening tee box for his final round at the AT&T Championship, the tournament had been reduced to all the drama of a leisurely Sunday drive.
So the leader did the only thing left to do.
Couples took one.
A day after scorching AT&T Canyons Course with a 10-under 62, the Champions Tour star put together a pedestrian 66, finishing at 23-under 193 overall and cruising to a seven-stroke victory. In doing so, Couples broke the 54-hole event scoring record and posted the largest winning margin on the Champions Tour this season.
