Series Not for Faint of Heart

ST. LOUIS -- In the absence of hitting, the Texas Rangers turned their bag of tricks upside down Thursday night and let their World Series chips fall where they may.

Up came Elvis Andrus, who singled in the ninth inning to send teammate Ian Kinsler to third.

Up came Josh Hamilton and Michael Young, who stroked back-to-back sacrifice flies to chase home the tying and winning runs.

And as the Busch Stadium crowd stood suddenly, deathly silent, up came Rangers closer Neftali Feliz, who rained thunder on the St. Louis Cardinals in a game-saving ninth.

Rangers 2, Cardinals 1.

World Series tied, blood pressures up.

Bullpens and managers now deadlocked, one game apiece.

It's been every bit that close.
