Claiborne is a tall cornerback who has shocking quickness, explosiveness and playing speed. He has been an impact playmaker in 2011 because he has excellent instincts and natural ball skills to break up and intercept passes consistently. For a 6-foot cornerback, he is uncommonly effective playing off the ball in “Zone” and “Off” coverage as opposed to being strictly a tall, man-to-man coverage cornerback. He's also averaging nearly 30 yards on kickoff returns with a 99-yard run back for a TD this year.
