Unfair, Inaccurate to Compare Pujols, LeBron

The word fan is of course short for fanatical.

And in their fanatical state of mind, some sports fans lose sight of reality and allow emotion to rule the day.

Though St Louis is a smart baseball town, there is undeniably a segment of the local population that is irrationally agitated at Albert Pujols’ decision to leave the Cardinals and play for the Los Angeles Angels starting in 2012.

I’ve even heard some compare the situation to LeBron James’ departure from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Miami Heat during the NBA’s 2010 off-season.

To those fans, I say just stop it right there.
