Blackhawks Tie Wild for Best Record

John Scott didn't believe it when first told he was voted second star of the Blackhawks' convincing 4-1 victory over the Ducks on Friday night, but there was the hulking defenseman-turned-forward taking a spin on the United Center ice after the game.

It was that kind of night for the Hawks, who hammered the Ducks to extend their points streak to seven games and pull even with the Wild for most points in the NHL with 44.

Scott's assist on Jamal Mayers' first-period goal — and later his thrashing of Sheldon Brookbank in a fight — helped the Hawks cruise before a crowd of 21,528.
