It took until Bo Ryan's 11th season as the head coach at Wisconsin, but Tom Izzo and Michigan State finally knocked off the Badgers' leader on his home court, 63-60 in overtime on Tuesday at the Kohl Center.
It was the first win in Madison for the Spartans since 2001 and ended an eight-game drought at the Kohl Center against a Ryan-coached team.
No. 10 Michigan State (14-2, 3-0 Big Ten) also extended its winning streak to 14 games, its longest since 22 straight in 1998-99.
It took a few extra minutes to be sure the game was over as Wisconsin's Ryan Evans banked in what looked like a tying 3-pointer at the buzzer, but a review ruled he did not get the shot off.
