The question was posed to the Timberwolves by coach Rick Adelman immediately following the team's victory over Dallas on Sunday, then again in the locker room moments before the Wolves took the Target Center floor to play San Antonio on Monday:
How are you going to handle this small dose of success?
Adelman knew the M.O. of the team he inherited. Up one night, then down. Hot, then cold. Engaged, then detached. So, after an emotional victory over the Mavericks, what next?
How about a winning streak?
The Wolves started the game hot Monday and never really cooled off, beating San Antonio 106-96. The Texas two-step improved the Wolves to 2-3. The Spurs, who played much of the game without injured Manu Ginobili (broken finger), dropped to 3-2.
