Because of an apparent left leg injury, no one was sure Tuesday when Daniel Carcillo would return to the Blackhawks lineup. The injury probably is the lesser of his worries.

Carcillo's hit Monday on Oilers defenseman Tom Gilbert that caused his injury also resulted in a five-minute boarding penalty and ejection, which prompted an indefinite suspension from the NHL on Tuesday, pending a disciplinary hearing.
