It's time to pump the brakes on the talk about the Indiana Pacers being ready to compete against the NBA's elite teams.
The Miami Heat proved that in dominating fashion Wednesday.
The Pacers were outplayed, outsmarted and left wondering how good they really are after the Heat beat them 118-83 at American Airlines Arena.
"Hats off to Miami," Pacers coach Frank Vogel said. "They played a great game. They took us out of just about everything on the offensive end."
The schedule doesn't get easier for the Pacers. Next up is a game at Boston on Friday.
The Pacers jumped to a 4-1 record against opponents not deemed playoff worthy.
