Selig Could Be Haunted by Dodgers Deal

Reporting from Paradise Valley, Ariz. — Bud Selig got a contract extension from baseball's owners Thursday. Frank McCourt voted yes, a pretty remarkable vote in favor of the commissioner who essentially forced him out of the league.

Yet McCourt wore a wide smile here, and why not? McCourt is selling the Dodgers, with billionaire upon billionaire swarming to buy.

McCourt will crown the winner. He will get more money for the Dodgers than anyone ever has gotten for a baseball team.

And then the other owners ought to ask: What about me?
