Indiana's skid reached to 31/2 basketball games Sunday afternoon.
The fact it didn't hit four had everything to do with an energized second-half attack that began on the defensive end.
Victor Oladipo played lockdown defense on high-scoring guard Tim Frazier, and Jordan Hulls scored all of his 14 points in the second half as No. 11 Indiana rallied from a two-point halftime deficit to beat Penn State 73-54 before a sellout crowd of 17,248 at Assembly Hall.
The game was played just a few hours after it was learned that legendary Penn State football coach Joe Paterno had died from lung cancer in a State College, Pa., hospital. Penn State coaches wore black ribbons to honor Paterno, and there was a moment of silence prior to tipoff.
