On the flight from South Bend, Ind., to Cincinnati on Sunday, the Syracuse Orange players watched a horror movie – the game film of their 67-58 loss to Notre Dame.
“The whole trip to Cincinnati, we watched the film,’’ Syracuse senior Scoop Jardine said. “That was worse than playing the game because we really got to see how poorly we played.’’
After winning their first 20 games of the season, the Orange laid an egg in losing to Notre Dame on Saturday. It was a car accident that Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim couldn’t help but look at it. Twice.
“I never watch the tapes that much,’’ Boeheim said. “I watched it twice because I couldn’t believe what I was watching.’’
