Olympic-Bound U.S. Women Breathe Easily

It was halftime of the United States-Costa Rica Olympic qualifying match Friday night at B.C. Place, a game that the Americans could not lose if they wanted to reach this summer's London Olympic Games.

They weren't officially behind; they were in fact ahead, 1-0 on midfielder Tobin Heath's header off a corner kick in the game's 16th minute. But they were not playing well, not at all.

"Panic mode," captain Christie Rampone would later call it.
