Take a look around the NBA. The recent champions (Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, and San Antonio Spurs) are all showing age and none is even among the Top 8 in the league in terms of record.
But then there are the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls. Both have stars in their prime and locked up to long contracts. They now have the two best records in the East.
This sure has the makings of being the best rivalry in the NBA over the next several years as the teams prepare to meet Sunday at AmericanAirlines Arena.
