Aaron Hernandez, half of what’s turning into the greatest tight-end tandem the NFL has ever seen and a key to the Patriots’ fate in Sunday’s Super Bowl, sat at a podium in Lucas Oil Stadium on Media Day on Tuesday. Most of the reporters in front of him stood with their backs to him.
That’s because his wide receiver teammate Chad Ochocinco stood a few feet away, and he could barely move 10 feet in any direction thanks to the hordes wedging him in—and trying to tune out Hernandez’s amplified voice behind them to hear Ochocinco’s soft-spoken, reflective, humble words.
