The 30 NBA scouts credentialed for the University of Louisville’s game against Connecticut primarily came to see the star-studded roster of the Huskies and their potential lottery picks Jeremy Lamb and Andre Drummond.
Those scouts witnessed the Cardinals’ effort blister the Huskies’ talent in an 80-59 victory Monday before 21,804 fans at the KFC Yum! Center — and it wasn’t that close in the second half.
“At any point in time when we click like that, team morale, team chemistry always wins over individual talent,” said Russ Smith, who had six points and four rebounds. “That’s what happened today. This is what we’re capable of doing.”
