Miami’s overtime upset of Duke on Sunday was noteworthy on several levels.
First is that the Blue Devils have dropped multiple home games in a season for the first time since 2006-07, when they were 15-4 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
Second is that Miami, which needed a marquee win, got a “big” victory and put itself squarely in the NCAA at-large hunt.
Third is that it changed the storyline for Wednesday night’s Duke-North Carolina game in Chapel Hill. That game looked as if it would be a matchup of two of the three teams tied for the ACC lead. Now, it has become almost a must-win for Duke if it wants to win the conference...
