Billy Cundiff expected worse following his costly fourth-quarter field goal miss in this season’s AFC championship game.

“It’s been impressive,” Cundiff, the former Drake player and current Baltimore Raven, said Sunday of his missed field goal that would have tied the game against the New England Patriots. “I expected more backlash.”

Cundiff’s failed 32-yard effort helped propel the Patriots to the Super Bowl — and caused the Ravens to pack for the offseason.
