Wings Record 21st Straight Home Win

There's been many great teams in NHL history, many outstanding Red Wings teams among them.

But none have accomplished what this Red Wings team has, winning an astounding 21 consecutive games on home ice.

The Wings made it 21 straight at Joe Louis Arena Tuesday — the crowd chanted "21" wildly the last two minutes — with a 3-1 victory over Dallas.

The Wings passed the 1929-30 Boston Bruins and 1975-76 Philadelphia Flyers, both of which won 20 straight home games.

"We're proud of the fact our guys have been this consistent," coach Mike Babcock said. "We've found ways to win each and every night."
