Pujols Gets Started With Angels Early

The most anticipated arrival in the Angels' history came early – in more ways than one. Pujols reported to camp on Monday, six days before position players are required to be here. And he rolled in shortly after 7 a.m., looking to find his way in a new spring complex with new teammates and staff members after spending the first 11 seasons of his major-league career with the St. Louis Cardinals.

"That's nothing new for me. I always report early to spring training," Pujols said. "That's something that I've done since the first day I got invited to big-league camp. I think it's very important for me to get outside and pretty much be on your own program to do the things you want because (later) this week when everybody gets here you're not on your own program anymore."
