The Charlotte Bobcats haven’t been the best at anything this season. They are a collection of mismatched and mismanaged parts, blowing smoke out of an overheated engine as they wheeze toward a finish line that can’t come fast enough.
But they still could be the best at one thing: Being the worst team in NBA history.
At this point, they might as well do that. Go ahead and lose the final four games, finish 7-59 and get it over with. That would give the Bobcats a worse winning percentage (at 10.6 percent) than the 9-73 Philadelphia 76ers of 1972-73.
