The Yankees landed in another city yesterday, and as they did in their previous stop, they found a perfectly nice party to wreck.

This time, the victims were the Rangers, who took a 7-4 loss last night before a sellout crowd at the Rangers Ballpark. Baseball’s hottest team drew a crowd of 48,423 to celebrate the career of Ivan Rodriguez, adding another memorable moment for a franchise that is coming off of a pair of American League pennants.

The Yankees, just as they did over the weekend, relished the role of spoilers.

Fresh from ruining the Red Sox’s celebration of Fenway Park’s 100th anniversary, the Yankees gave the fans little to cheer about once Rodriguez’s pregame ceremony had come to a close.
