A day after Freddy Garcia set pitching back a decade or so, CC Sabathia restored order to the Yankees’ pitching universe.

With a bullpen running on fumes after extended work in the first two games of the series, Sabathia gave the Bombers exactly what they needed Sunday.

Sabathia threw eight innings of four-hit, two-run ball and tied his season high with eight strikeouts as the Yankees took the series from the Tigers, 6-2, at the Stadium.
