Lakers Dig Deep to Bag Nuggets

Kobe Bryant fought through all those Denver’s screens to set a tone for the Lakers’ defense.

Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol fought through all the questions about their focus and toughness.

Steve Blake fought through all those empty nights after being the main free-agent signing after the Lakers’ last NBA championship.

So now it remains possible for the Lakers to ascend to the top of the heap again after they survived Game 7 against the Denver Nuggets to advance to the Western Conference semifinals against the Oklahoma City Thunder, starting Monday night.
