Rangers on Brink as Devils Pick Up Steam

John Tortorella joked Tuesday that he’ll have to “pray” to get his top-six forwards going offensively, but the truth is the Devils have already brought the Rangers to their knees in these Eastern Conference finals.

The series may be tied 2-2, but Game 5 on Wednesday night at the Garden is a must-win for the tired, never-say-die Blueshirts.

It’s not because they aren’t good enough to win two straight playoff games. They are. The Rangers willed their way to victory in Games 6 and 7 of the first round to recover against the eighth-seeded Senators.
