Kings Feed Off Penner's Humor

Humor is often used as a coping mechanism to deal with life's stresses.

It's no wonder Dustin Penner is the jokester of the Kings locker room.

Even when he scored more pancakes than goals, he still tried to make others laugh with his sarcastic nature. It was a way to ease the tension that was his life.

Penner was in the midst of his worst season in the NHL when he jokingly described how he injured his back while sitting down to eat some "delicious pancakes" made by his wife.

Boos, constant criticism, no trade-deadline takers and a reported divorce followed.

It was not his year.
