Jonathan Quick held the Conn Smythe Trophy for as long as he could, through a live television interview, and then swapped it for his 2-year-old daughter, Madison. His grip was as firm as ever Monday night at Staples Center.

The Kings' goalie carried his teammates for long stretches during a disjointed opening to the 2011-12 season, through a midseason coaching change and a determined run that propelled them through the playoffs and to the Stanley Cup championship.

Game 6 was almost like a night off for Quick, who faced only 18 shots in the Kings' 6-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils. Quick was rarely tested, yielding only Adam Henrique's goal that silenced Kings fans only briefly late in the second period.
