McIlroy Disintegrates With 75

Rory McIlroy began Friday in sixth place at the 2012 British Open and it looked like he might really be building on his recent momentum to make a run for a Claret Jug. Then Friday happened: McIlroy carded an ugly 75 that could've been much worse if he hadn't gotten some good breaks.

The young Irishman now finds himself in 50th place overall, right on the cut line at two-over par, 12 shots back of clubhouse leader Brandt Snedeker, and in a freefall heading into the weekend.
