Six years ago, there was the endless loop of the "I Feel Pretty"-themed Nike ad playing throughout the U.S. Open, with Maria Sharapova right smack in the center of the campaign, the tennis darling of the moment.
Sharapova didn't disappoint, rolling to the final against Justine Henin-Hardenne and posting a 6-4, 6-4 straight sets victory. It might be time to start cranking up "West Side Story" soundtrack again after Sharapova's latest demolition in this year's Open tournament. The 25-year-old Russian destroyed Spaniard Lourdes Dominguez Lino, 6-0, 6-1 Wednesday night in front of the Arthur Ashe Stadium crowd. It took Sharapova all of 54 minutes to move into the third round.
