Lubbock — This was the Texas football team everyone expected to see most Saturdays this fall.
A two-dimensional team that can win passing or running and just did. A stingy defense that forces three field goals and blocks another, tackles someone and does not allow big plays. A complete team. And a winning team, one that held off 20th-ranked Texas Tech 31-22 to emerge from an avalanche of criticism.
Now is this the Longhorn team we’ll see in the next three games?
