Unflappable K-State Handles Cowboys

My goodness, we’re a collective mess after a Saturday full of near shockers threatened to re-arrange the college football landscape. Ultimately, the four unbeaten teams at the top of the BCS remained undefeated. But only after some harrowing thrill rides, especially by No. 1 Alabama and No. 3 Notre Dame, who needed Houdini-like escapes to pull out victories against LSU and Pittsburgh.

Kansas State had the easiest time of the contenders, knocking off the bumbling, stumbling Oklahoma State Cowboys, 44-30, at Snyder Family Stadium. Okie State turned the ball over five times and allowed a 100-yard kick return to K-State’s speedy Tyler Lockett.

The Wildcats could play a century worth of football and not commit five turnovers, it seems. They have played and won six Big 12 games this season and are yet to commit a single turnover. It’s been an incredible show of consistency and precision.
