By most accounts, Sunday’s race at Texas Motor Speedway was a thriller.
With championship contenders Jimmie Johnson and Brad Keselowski bumping and banging toward the checkered flag, it was high drama in the eighth of 10 Chase races.
Johnson scored a dramatic victory to move one step closer to a sixth Sprint Cup championship. But afterward, all the talk was about how the determined Keselowski refused to give an inch, slamming into Johnson’s car during a fierce battle for the lead and sending a clear message that he’s not backing down from the five-time champion, that this ferocious title bout is far from over.
