Rookies and first-year Colts all over the roster.
What was reasonable? A 5-11 record seemed reasonable, maybe even a stretch. Some folks had them winning one or two games. The Associated Press had them 32nd in their preseason power rankings. I wrote they were a glorified expansion team.
Now look.
They are 7-4, owners of a solid if unspectacular 20-13 victory Sunday over the Buffalo Bills, and now it will take a minor collapse to keep them out of the postseason.
