Whoever Strikes Pose Will Make History

Final frontiers are few and far between after almost 80 years of Heisman Trophy voting, but one is almost certain to fall when the 2012 winner is announced Saturday night in New York.

In all likelihood, either quarterback Johnny Manziel of Texas A&M will become the first freshman Heisman winner or Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o will become the first defensive specialist to win the Heisman without benefit of significant offensive or special-teams statistics.
