Back After a Nine-Year Break

IRVINE – As a freshman, he appeared in just 10 games, scoring only 14 points.

Now, as a sophomore, he's the team's starting point guard and one of the emotional leaders.

We all know how much can change in one year, right? So imagine how much can change in nine years.

In between the final basket of James Bailey's first season at Irvine Valley College and the first basket of his final season, he:

•Got married.

•Fathered three children.

•Graduated high school.

•Did metal working on an assembly line, bagged groceries at Costco, sold clothes at Nordstrom Rack, started a cell phone business, worked for a real estate company and did marketing for a security firm.
