Playoff Run a Mirage for Cowboys

Not that anybody bets on football, but Vegas has the Washington Redskins football team as three-point favorites to defeat the Dallas Cowboys football team on the football field in the last regular-season football game of the 2012 National Football League regular season.

(Yes, this is a deliberate attempt to do as coaches, players and announcers do and use the word "football" as often as possible.)

The Cowboys' .533 winning percentage is the perfect number to describe this team this season. What the 2012 Cowboys have demonstrated this season is they are better than the NFL's bad, not quite good enough to beat the NFL's good and another reminder of how much the expectations for this franchise have changed.
