Arians a Great Hire, But He Needs a QB

It was no secret what kind of head coach the Arizona Cardinals wanted before they decided to hire Bruce Arians away from Indianapolis on Thursday.

Before the former Colts offensive coordinator took their offer, the Cardinals also looked at other playoff play-callers who did good work with young quarterbacks.

Through that line of interviewing, it’s no surprise then, that Arians, fresh from mentoring rookie first-overall pick Andrew Luck and acing a 12-game interim coaching stint, was the Cardinals’ choice.
