49ers' Super Rally Beats Falcons

ATLANTA -- The 49ers erased an early 17-0 deficit and earned themselves a Super Bowl berth Sunday, defeating the host Atlanta Falcons 28-24 in the NFC Championship Game.

The 49ers will put their 5-0, Super Bowl record on the line Feb. 3 in New Orleans against either the Baltimore Ravens or New England Patriots.

As time ran out on the Falcons' season, the 49ers erupted with raised arms and several players streamed to congratulate defensive tackle Justin Smith on making it to his first Super Bowl in his 12-year career.

Quarterback Colin Kaepernick celebrated with his teammates too before stopping on the way to the locker room and share a five-second hug with coach Jim Harbaugh.
